TOWARDS A BETTER UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN GARMENT CONTRACTORS AND SUBCONTRACTORS ON TECHNICAL ASPECTS Contractors in the garment industry are frequently faced with poor manufacturing results, bad quality, lags in delivery, and, generally speaking, too many misunderstandings with subcontractors.
Why do these misunderstanding and quality problems appear in the textile and garment chain ?
One of the main reasons is that contractors and subcontractors, worldwide, are used to contracting by phone. There is no written document specifying precisely the requirements of the two parties, what they really expect from each other.
The present website offers an answer to this problem : we propose that every company, designer, distributor, Mail Order Company, use a standardised tool in order to improve technical aspects and quality when subcontracting the manufacturing of the garments they have designed.
